Convocation is a time for graduates to gather with friends, family, faculty, and staff to celebrate well-earned accomplishments. Filled with symbolism and tradition, convocation is the capstone to your university journey.
We will celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 on May 30, 2026, with two ceremonies according to faculty. Check this page for updates.
11 a.m. Ceremony │ Faculty of Education and Faculty of Science
3 p.m. Ceremony │ Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Management
Convocation ceremonies for the Class of 2026 will take place at the Edmonton Expo Centre 7515 118 Ave NW, Edmonton. There will be two ceremonies, according to faculty.
Professional photos of the graduates, while they are hooded, and when congratulated by the Chancellor, will be available for download, at no charge, the week following the convocation ceremony.
Hall E will have some photo areas set up for graduate photos with family, friends, and faculty.

For those unable to attend convocation, we will be live streaming both ceremonies through Vimeo.

This year, we are pleased to present honorary degrees to Mary Jane James and Nathan Fillion. Their achievements not only set a powerful example for our graduates but also reflect the kind of impact they will make in the world.
Mary Jane James
Mary Jane James is the Chief Executive Officer of the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton (SACE). Her impact on the Edmonton community and beyond stands as a testament to the kind of impact-driven citizenship that defines the CUE spirit.
Nathan Fillion is an actor, philanthropist and a CUE alumnus. Fillion embodies the vibrant, creative and globally engaged spirit of CUE through his extraordinary career in the arts and his steadfast commitment to philanthropy.
